EVERY CONTRIBUTION COUNTS.

Each week, BTLS reviews nominations for three 8U awards. Parents and authorized coaches can nominate players from any U.S. state. Recognition is based on verified impact and effort.

BLOCK OF THE WEEK

Positioning, execution, effort and the block’s effect on the play. Send the full play and identify the blocker.

DEFENSIVE STOP OF THE WEEK

Recognition, pursuit, coverage or a takeaway that changes the play. Send the clip, game date and player identity.

TEAMMATE OF THE WEEK

A specific act of leadership, encouragement or support. A written story can start the nomination; include how an adult who witnessed it can confirm it.

How selections work

BTLS reviews clear footage or a confirmed story, the player’s age context, effort and impact. Award selections are editorial, rather than decided by likes or votes. Dangerous contact, injury and humiliation are not rewarded. Each published winner includes a reason for selection.

There is one winner per category per week when enough verified evidence is available. Incomplete nominations can carry forward. These awards do not change state or national rankings.

Before a player is featured

An adult submits the nomination. Uploaded originals and adult contact details stay private in the BTLS review inbox. BTLS verifies the details and guardian authorization before publication. Submission does not guarantee selection. Player and team participation is free.

Features and winners will appear here after review. A parent or coach may also DM “WEEKLY AWARDS” on Instagram.
